Tsurumi Submersible Pumps: One of the Best in the World?

Back

June 10, 2016 By Mike Hurlbatt

At Pump Solutions Australasia, we go to the ends of the earth to find the best pumps in the world, so we can import them into Australia. Tsurumi submersible pumps are one of the product lines we have chosen to make available to our customers. Tsurumi has the reputation of making some of the best submersible pumps in the world. Here’s why.

A Brief History of Tsurumi Pumps

Tsurumi Submersible Pump in AustraliaTsurumi Pumps was established in 1924 in Osaka, Japan. They began manufacturing shaft pumps for agricultural applications. In 1953 and 1954, they began developing the first submersible pumps in the world: the EP-75 series and the EP-100 series. These pumps were sold from 1955-1959.

In 1962, they developed new dry type, lightweight motors to replace motors that were filled with oil. In 1965, they developed another new submersible pump with the first built-in circle thermal protector. In 1968, they developed the first automatic, float-type submersible pump. This pump had a built-in automatic control circuit.

Fast forward to now and they have offices and facilities in China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea and many cities in Japan. They are established as one of the largest makers of the best submersible pumps in the world.

Their corporate philosophy is short but brilliant. They encourage creativity, respect harmony with nature and value passion. This makes them flexible and always “ahead of the curve” when it comes to technology and innovation.

They pride themselves on conducting business ethically with a stringent code of conduct. The result is that there are never any “shortcuts” taken at Tsurumi Pumps.

Applications for Tsurumi Pumps

Tsurumi pumps are used in numerous industries: construction, mining, energy, river/flood control, waterworks, wastewater and environmental conservation.
