Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps: What’s Available
Speck manufactures two configurations of liquid ring vacuum pumps: close coupled and base plate, also called “long coupled.” Both are available in many different styles, depending upon the sector and use for which they are designed. The smallest Speck liquid ring vacuum pump has 0.12kW of power and an output of 2.2 m3/hour. The largest has 45 kW of power and an output of 1600 m3/hour.
Speck liquid ring vacuum pumps are available with stainless steel, brass or cast iron construction. Combinations of any of the three elements are also available. The single stage pumps reach vacuum levels of up to 33 mbar, while the two stage pumps are all capable of a 33 mbar vacuum.
Speck is also known for their heat transfer pumps, which can pump water in temperatures up to 350 degrees with differential heads as high as 100 metres and volumes of 100 m3/hour. Speck water pumps are available with a standard mechanical seal design or with a magnetic drive that doesn’t require seals.
Smaller Speck Pumps are usually peripheral vane pumps which offer high head and low flow capabilities. For higher volumes, conventional impeller pumps are supplied. Vertical spindle pumps are also appropriate for some heat transfer applications.
