What is a Pump Filter
Air Filters
Air filters are used to remove solid particles which are carried in the air.
If air is not adequately filtered, dust or other particles can contaminate the blower or vacuum pump. This has a negative impact on the wear, life span and performance of the blower or vacuum pump.
In a worst-case scenario, contaminants in the air can combine to form a “grinding paste” which compromises the moving parts of the blower or pump and cause it to fail prematurely.
Oil Separators
Oil separators are used for oil-flooded pumps for two purposes. They not only remove solid particles from oil, but also separate the oil from air that has been processed by the pump.
The air is discharged and the oil is subsequently recirculated.
Applications for Pump Filters
Air filters are used in a wide range of pumps for various applications whilst oil separators are used for oil-flooded pumps.
