Tsurumi have added two Tsurumi KTZ Series 15 kW submersible pumps in their Flagship KTZ series.
Before the introduction of these pumps, the most powerful pumps available in the series were was 11 kW. With the addition of these two pumps, the KTZ Series now offers pumps ranging in power from 1.5 kW to 15 kW.
They are available in two varieties: the 4-inch pump is the KTZ415 and the 6-inch pump is the KTZ615. Both pumps provide a maximum capacity of 2.8 m3/min and a maximum head of 55 m.
Both models are built with a high chromium cast iron impeller and a cast iron body. This configuration helps them rate highly for durability and for wear resistance.
The discharge design is top discharge, side flow. This enables Tsurumi to keep the pumps slim enough to be installed in small spaces and also allows them to continue operating at low water levels.
When you put it all together, Tsurumi KTZ Series 15 kW Submersible Pumps, like all of the KTZ Series, qualify as continuous duty, highly reliable heavy duty pumps that are appropriate for the harshest of work environments, including mining, construction, quarrying and other industrial work sites.
Due to a Tsurumi original, design-registered feature, a multi-directional structure for hose coupling, the KTZ Series pumps can be toggled between inclined or vertical discharge with just a wrench.
Tsurumi Pumps all provide a set of useful features for all of their general submersible pumps as standard equipment, including a motor protector, an anti-wicking cable, an oil lifter and mechanical seals which have silicon carbide faces. The 15 kW pumps, like all KTZ Series models 7.5 kW and stronger, offer seal pressure relief ports that are built into the pump unit. This alleviates the tendency toward pressure on the mechanical seals.
The 15 kW pumps are also designed with double bearings on the bottom. They are used as a countermeasure against excessive thrust load, which can be a major cause of pump failure. To increase the hardness of the shaft and to provide durability, the shaft receives a quenching treatment.
Tsurumi have worked very hard at ensuring that their submersible pumps can be used in all construction, mining and Industrial situations. Their pumps are built to withstand the harshest conditions. Their reputation for reliability and durability is at the top of the business.
Tsurumi KTZ Series 15 kW Submersible Pumps: More Specs
Tsurumi KTZ Series submersible pumps are classified as high head, cast iron, heavy duty three phase drainage pumps. The cast iron, high chromium impeller combines with the cast iron body to ensure durability and consistency. This helps them withstand conditions in the aggregate, mining and construction industries.
The flow design is side flow, top discharge. This ensures that the motor is efficiently cooled, even when there is air mixed with the water flowing through the pump. Because of its slim dimensions, it can be used for smaller spaces without sacrificing power. You can choose between inclined discharge and vertical discharge. This not only provides flexibility, but keeps the discharge hose from being bent or folded.
Pumps from 7.5 kW to 15 kW are built with seal pressure relief ports, which keep any of the pressure produced by pumping from being directed toward the shaft seal.
