Gorman Rupp Ultra V and VS Series Pumps for Solids and Slurries

Gorman Rupp makes pumps designed for heavy duty pumping of solids and slurries. Gorman Rupp are based in the US and have been manufacturing pumps since 1933. They now offer more than 3,000 different pumps. They are known for innovations in the industry and hold the patents on many industry standards.

Gorman Rupp pumps have one of the largest manufacturing facilities in the world and have constantly reinvested and retooled to keep their equipment and logistics on the cutting edge of modern technology. They have a simple but effective corporate philosophy: Innovation, Improvement and Superior Products.

Their Ultra V Series pumps are specially designed for handling slurries and solids. They have head capabilities that are significantly higher than any similar equipment. Due to their design, any clogging can be removed through the opening for the cover plate. No special tools are needed and it doesn’t disturb the piping.

Gorman Rupp Pumps - Ultra V and VS Series

The Ultra V Series comes in three sizes: 80 mm, 100 mm and 150 mm. They have a maximum capacity of 120 lps and maximum head of 99 m. They can handle solids up to 76 mm. They are made of cast iron, stainless steel and CD4MCu.

If you need more than the Ultra V can give you, the Ultra VS is available with the Ultra Mate pump. An innovative transition chamber is used to mount the Ultra Mate pump directly to the Ultra V. This can provide up to three times the maximum pressure that any traditional self-priming single stage pumps for the handling of solids can provide.

This reduces the losses that can occur with conventional pumps connected in series, which results in more efficient operation and more output.

The Ultra V and Ultra Mate have an interchangeable back cover plate and rotating assembly, meaning you don’t have to have as many spare parts around for immediate changing.

Tsurumi Bar Screens: Essential for the Wastewater Treatment Industry

Tsurumi Bar Screens: Essential for the Wastewater Treatment Industry

Tsurumi has made a name for themselves since 1924 with their submersible pumps. They are widely recognised as one of the best pump manufacturers in the world. Their commitment to high quality is well-known over a wide range of business sectors.

Tsurumi also makes various other environmental materials for applications such as mining, construction and wastewater. One of their more popular products is their series of bar screens. These are the KE/KS & KW Series.

Tsurumi KE/KS/KW Series bar screens are front-screen, automatic type bar screens that are used in the screening process for wastewater. They are made out of 304 stainless steel, which makes them very corrosion resistant and able to handle media such as wastewater without degrading.

They are constructed with screen bars in the front and two or more rakes behind them. The rakes move behind the screen bars in a full range, meaning that every tooth of every rake moves between the screen bars. Even if solids are stuck between the screen bars, the rake teeth get them out.

The KE/KS/KW Series uses a smaller output motor so electrical costs are kept down. The bar screen can be used in applications such as waterways with variable levels of water.

The KS Series screens have all of those features, but include a mechanism that ensures eccentric roll. Residue can cause clogging or retraction of the screen’s front edge. The KS mechanism prevents the clogging and retraction.

The KW Series adds a safety device that detects any abnormalities in the operation of the gear motor and stops the motor immediately.

Tsurumi Debuts KTZ-Series 15 kW Submersible Pumps

Tsurumi has been an international mainstay in the pump business, manufacturing submersible pumps, environmental devices and other related equipment since 1924. Through a lot of hard work and a commitment to constant improvement on a daily basis, Tsurumi have become the preeminent manufacturer of submersible pumps in the world.

Recently, they announced the addition of two 15 kW submersible pumps in their Flagship KTZ series. Before the introduction of these pumps, the most powerful pumps available in the series were was 11 kW. With the addition of these two pumps, the KTZ Series now offers pumps ranging in power from 1.5 kW to 15 kW.

They are available in two varieties: the 4-inch pump is the KTZ415 and the 6-inch pump is the KTZ615. Both pumps provide a maximum capacity of 2.8 m3/min and a maximum head of 55 m. Both models are built with a high chromium cast iron impeller and a cast iron body. This configuration helps them rate highly for durability and for wear resistance.

Tsurumi KTZ series

The discharge design is top discharge, side flow. This enables Tsurumi to keep the pumps slim enough to be installed in small spaces and also allows them to continue operating at low water levels.

When you put it all together, Tsurumi KTZ Series 15 kW Submersible Pumps, like all of the KTZ Series, qualify as continuous duty, highly reliable heavy duty pumps that are appropriate for the harshest of work environments, including mining, construction, quarrying and other industrial work sites.

Due to a Tsurumi original, design-registered feature, a multi-directional structure for hose coupling, the KTZ Series pumps can be toggled between inclined or vertical discharge with just a wrench.

Tsurumi Pumps all provide a set of useful features for all of their general submersible pumps as standard equipment, including a motor protector, an anti-wicking cable, an oil lifter and mechanical seals which have silicon carbide faces. The 15 kW pumps, like all KTZ Series models 7.5 kW and stronger, offer seal pressure relief ports that are built into the pump unit. This alleviates the tendency toward pressure on the mechanical seals.

The 15 kW pumps are also designed with double bearings on the bottom. They are used as a countermeasure against excessive thrust load, which can be a major cause of pump failure. To increase the hardness of the shaft and to provide durability, the shaft receives a quenching treatment.

Tsurumi have worked very hard at ensuring that their submersible pumps can be used in all construction, mining and Industrial situations. Their pumps are built to withstand the harshest conditions. Their reputation for reliability and durability is at the top of the business.

Tsurumi KTZ Series 15 kW Submersible Pumps: More Specs

Tsurumi KTZ Series submersible pumps are classified as high head, cast iron, heavy duty three phase drainage pumps. The cast iron, high chromium impeller combines with the cast iron body to ensure durability and consistency. This helps them withstand conditions in the aggregate, mining and construction industries.

The flow design is side flow, top discharge. This ensures that the motor is efficiently cooled, even when there is air mixed with the water flowing through the pump. Because of its slim dimensions, it can be used for smaller spaces without sacrificing power. You can choose between inclined discharge and vertical discharge. This not only provides flexibility, but keeps the discharge hose from being bent or folded.

Pumps from 7.5 kW to 15 kW are built with seal pressure relief ports, which keep any of the pressure produced by pumping from being directed toward the shaft seal.

Pump Solutions Australasia Introduces New Fluid-O-Tech F-Soda Streaming System

Leading pumps provider Pump Solutions Australasia enables Perth area businesses and residents to make their own soda for a fraction of the price of bottled soda.

Pump Solutions Australasia is proud to offer the Fluid-O-Tech F-Soda water carbonation system to Australian homes and businesses. F-Soda is completely self-contained, and is easily integrated into many different appliances. F-Soda is compact but versatile, and has many applications. It can be used for vending machines, post-mix, soda dispensers, and home dispensers.

F-Soda’s patented design allows it to operate at low pressure, producing higher safety and reliability standards than the norm using existing technology. Despite the low pressure, it reaches high levels of carbonation. The F-Soda is highly adaptable, and it can be adjusted and set for carbonation level by using the CO2 pressure regulator. It can also be adjusted for various water to post mix ratios to adjust the taste of the soda.

Fluid-O-Tech F-Soda Streaming System

F-Soda is built sturdily but simply, and is very easy for professionals and non-professionals alike to use. The system is equipped with an integrated circuit board which seamlessly integrates and controls its various functions. This allows the user to get optimum results with minimal effort. The F-Soda is equipped with a low-noise pump that not only makes less noise, but consumes less energy than standard pumps.

The F-Soda is twice as big as a standard home use soda stream system, but still compact. It measures 430 mm in height by 146 mm in width, and has a 1.29 litre tank with an available fluid volume of 1.0 litre. The tank takes 90 seconds to refill, and the recommended water temperature is between 4° to 8° Celsius or 40° to 47° Fahrenheit.

Mike Hurlbatt, Owner of Pump Solutions Australasia, is excited to offer F-Soda: “We don’t just sell every product that comes into the marketplace. We do our research well, and only offer products that we feel provide above-average performance for their price points. We are very happy with the F-Soda, and we feel that small businesses and home users alike will be very satisfied with how quickly and easily it prepares great soda.”

Hurlbatt continued, “It is compact, but performs as well as the large, bulky machines used in restaurants. Best of all, the soda is every bit as good as that at your favourite restaurant. In some cases, it’s even better, because you can control the amount of carbonation and the mix ratio.”

Hurlbatt elaborated: “It is well-known that major restaurant chains make proprietary tweaks in mix ratios and psi values to produce tastes that are unique to their brand. The F-Soda allows users the opportunity to do the same thing when customising their own sodas. The basic adjustments are easy: more syrup, less syrup, more carbonation, and less carbonation.”

Hurlbatt concluded, “If you ever wanted fresh soda the way you like it, on your terms, at your time, and in your home or business, F-Soda will provide it for you. The F-Soda water carbonation system is truly a professional system that is now available for home use.”
